Entitled rock-star wives to get even greater sense of entitlement from E! reality show

As part of its commitment to both chronicling and enabling the nation’s most entitled, E! will launch Married To Rock, a reality show dedicated to following the everyday lives of the women who, once upon a time, married a rock musician and thus accomplished everything they needed to accomplish, ever.

Among the cast members (and judging by the above promo photo, they should probably be forced to wear distinctive hats at all times so viewers can tell them apart): Perry Farrell’s wife Etty Farrell, a former Pussycat Dolls member turned Jane’s Addiction dancer turned singer and inspiration for Satellite Party; Susan Holmes McKagan, wife of former Guns N’ Roses bassist Duff McKagan; Josie Stevens, who’s married to Billy Idol’s guitarist; and AJ Celi, who’s married to Cult guitarist Billy Duffy. Apparently these women all have frequent, completely natural involvement in each others’ lives, as promised by this brief synopsis of the premiere episode (debuting Nov. 7):

The season kicks off with Etty Farrell working on organizing the latest incarnation of Lollapalooza while weighing in on Josie Stevens’ decision to re-tie the knot at the Hollywood Castle. Meanwhile, Celi, a VIP director at a Hollywood nightclub, pressures Duffy to walk down the aisle. And supermodel Susan Holmes McKagan struggles to get a new collection in her swimwear line ready for launch.

Sounds dramatic! And most importantly, real—which is the intention of E! programming VP Lisa Berger, who says that the show is about “raising the curtain on the rock ’n’ roll lifestyle and showing there’s more to it than the late-night partying, ravaged hotel rooms, and jet-set life we’ve all read about.” Too true. Exploiting borrowed privilege is, after all, a full-time job.
