Epix gives its two original scripted shows renewals

Epix is going to keep plowing ahead with its original scripted content. According to Variety, it’s renewed its two shows—Graves and Berlin Station—for second seasons. When The A.V. Club assessed the series back in October, we were more favorable to Berlin Station, which stars Richard Armitage and Richard Jenkins and centers around the CIA outpost in the titular city. We were less enthusiastic about Graves, in which Nick Nolte plays a former Republican president. Our review called it, “ultimately kind of a dud,” saying it “aims for Bulworth, but ends up Guarding Tess.” These two will soon be joined in Epix’s line-up by a TV adaptation of Get Shorty with Ray Romano and Chris O’Dowd.
