Eric Bachmann provided the voice and guitar for Archers Of Loaf and Crooked Fingers, and he recently released a self-titled solo album that’s one of this year’s best. Jon Rauhouse is a pedal-steel guitarist who’s provided beautiful color to music by Neko Case, Jon Langford, Jakob Dylan, and more. Together, they’ve spent the last few years getting musically and personally acquainted as part of Neko Case’s backing band, and now they’ve announced a collaborative instrumental album, titled simply Eric Bachmann Jon Rauhouse. The album will be released on Bachmann’s new label, Telephant Records, on September 6, in a vinyl-only limited edition of 1,000 copies. (It’ll also be available digitally.)
