Erykah Badu announces Badu Vs. Everythang world tour
It’s been seven years since Erykah Badu launched an official tour, back when New Amerykah Part Two (Return Of The Ankh) was released. But today the singer/rapper/DJ announced a worldwide tour that includes cities from New Orleans to Montreux, and from her hometown of Dallas to Tokyo. She’s calling it the Badu Vs. Everythang Tour:
The neo-soul icon is known to use her live shows to benefit or celebrate causes she believes in—gracing the stage of the Texas Veggie Fair (she’s vegan) last year, donating a portion of Detroit concert earnings toward justice for rape victims—so leave it to the trained doula to also work in a stop at the Midwives Conference in Chicago before heading to Japan.
