Eula’s new single rings up the Riot Grrrls
Fans of shredding ladies like The Coathangers and Screaming Females’ frontwoman Marissa Paternoster should check out Eula, a Brooklyn act fronted by guitarist and singer Alyse Lamb. The band cites Delta 5 and Swans as influences, and is releasing a new 7-inch July 15 on Bloodmoss Records. A.V. Club listeners can check out “Orderly,” one of the tracks from the 7-inch, below. Produced by Martin Bisi, the track is full of aggressive angles and Riot Grrrl references.
Orderly/Meadows is available for pre-order now via Bloodmoss. The band is playing a couple of upcoming gigs, including a June 13 show at Brooklyn’s Northside Festival and a June 19 set at Trans Pecos in Brooklyn.
