Even Slytherins are afraid to “come out” as purebloods in this new parody
According to Catholic Voice, some people are afraid to “come out” as being against marriage equality. It really is hard out there for people who don’t believe in equal rights.
L.A.-based sketch comedy group Lemonade Stand has responded with a parody of Catholic Voice’s “Not Alone” video, replacing homophobes with mudbloodphobic Slytherins in a pretty spot-on recreation of the original. Just like how people are afraid of what people might think of them if they say they believe marriage is between a man and a woman, these Slytherins are afraid to “come out” about their pureblood preferences.
Look, they understand that mudbloods exist (they even have mudblood friends, they swear!), but Hogwarts should just be for purebloods. “It’s wizard and witch, not wizard and Mitch.” Good news, mudblood-hating purebloods: You are not alone.
