Everybody talks about Weezer, but nobody does anything about them...until now

The Stranger reports that Seattle local James Burns, who, whatever his other faults, is not afraid of being yelled at on the internet, is attempting to raise $10 million, which he will then offer to Weezer in exchange for them going away and not making any more records.  That breaks down, as Burns explains, to twelve bucks for everyone who bought a copy of Pinkerton.

Whatever the outcome of this quixotic campaign, it is sure to generate little interest from A.V. Club readers, who have historically proven to have no opinion one way or another about Rivers Cuomo and company.
