Everybody's proud and fucked up in this trailer for Matthew Weiner's The Romanoffs

For as weird and enigmatic Matthew Weiner’s previews usually are, it sure seems like he’s giving us an awful lot of his upcoming Amazon series The Romanoffs ahead of time. The show premieres on October 12, and we’ve already got a couple of teasers and a full episode-by-episode breakdown (though that one was pretty vague), and now we’ve got another real trailer that gives us a few more glimpses of these disparate folks who all believe they’re descended from the Russian royal family. Granted, it’s hard to really say what’s going on in these clips, since they’re all from different episodes of an anthology show, but the opening line from Kerry Bishé about how these supposed descendants of the Romanoffs are all really proud and really fucked up seems like a good summation.

The show will feature Christina Hendricks, John Slattery, Aaron Eckhart, Kathryn Hahn, Clea Duvall, Diane Lane, and a bunch of other famous people.
