Everyone does it for the music in the trailer for Cameron Crowe’s Roadies

The first full trailer for Cameron Crowe’s Showtime series Roadies is every bit the warm hug that viewers expected. It’s littered with beautiful people offering their philosophies on life and music, showcases one or two outlandish moments—including Ron White brandishing a gun—to prove it doesn’t always play nice, and boasts a pleasant Eddie Vedder tune on the soundtrack. It all amounts to the notion that, sure, these characters are hopelessly unmoored, but such worldly concerns evaporate when listening to the music, man.

Roadies stars Luke Wilson, Carla Gugino, Imogen Poots, Rafe Spall, Keisha Castle-Hughes, Peter Cambor, and Richard Colson Baker, a.k.a. Machine Gun Kelly. The series is executive produced by J. J. Abrams and Winnie Holzman (My So-Called Life). Those curious about whether people really do only need “oxygen and family” in order to survive can check out the series premiere of Roadies on June 26.
