Everything is significantly less awesome in the The Lego Movie 2 teaser

In the newly released teaser for The Lego Movie 2: The Second Part, the citizens of the Lego universe are having a hard time picking up the pieces—pun, as always, intended—in the aftermath of the cataclysmic event known as TAKOS Tuesday. Which, of course, means it’s time for a Mad Max parody, complete with its own Furiosa in the form of Elizabeth Banks’ Wyldstyle (a.k.a. Lucy). Emmet (Chris Pratt), however, is still choosing to believe that everything is awesome, until he has to channel his inner Star-Lord and rescue Lucy (and a bunch of other hostages) from a hostile Lego-alien force.

The Lego Movie 2 arrives in theaters next February; no word yet on how hard grown adults will be sobbing at the end of this one.
