Ewan McGregor is the latest actor to join, not yet abandon Natalie Portman's Western
Actors continue to sign on for the Natalie Portman-produced-and-starring Western Jane Got A Gun, only to discover that the movie set is really an abattoir where only the finest of thoroughbred mares are sacrificed to feed Portman’s giddy bloodlust, their delicate Hollywood nostrils curling in the thick fog of carrion as they stumble away declaring, “I won’t be a part of this abomination.” Or, to put it in the words of Jude Law, Michael Fassbender, Bradley Cooper, and director Lynne Ramsay, they had irreconcilable differences with “scheduling” and/or “creativity”—problems that do not concern the newly signed Ewan McGregor, at least for today. McGregor is reportedly, tentatively now on board to reunite with his Star Wars prequel co-stars Portman and Joel Edgerton, playing the villain who threatens Portman’s farm with his American Western accent and his equally unpredictable gun. “But I’ve also got a gun,” Portman’s Jane will reply, while the rotting horses pile up just off-screen and give her power.
