Exclusive: Here's a gorgeous new song from former Elefant frontman Diego Garcia
Diego Garcia cut his teeth fronting the slightly goth-y New York band Elefant, which released a couple of solid albums inspired by The Cure and The Smiths, as well as the bands in the scene swirling around them, like Interpol and Longwave. Elefant split in 2010, and Garcia took a left turn with his music: His first solo album, Laura, embraced Garcia's Argentine roots, ditching the darkness in favor of more sophisticated singer-songwriter sounds. His second solo album, Paradise, will be out October 8 on Concord, and we've got an exclusive listen to the first single, "Start With The End." The song could appeal to anyone from fans of Donovan to fans of Iron & Wine (maybe those are the same people). Regardless, it's a gem. Enjoy. (Here's a pre-order link, which also has a taste of another song.)
