Exclusive stream: Dirty Projectors producer Raleigh Moncrief goes solo, gets remixed by Deerhoof

Even if you don’t know the name Raleigh Moncrief, you probably know the artists he’s worked with. He’s collaborated with Marnie Stern and Youth Lagoon, among others, and engineered and co-produced Dirty Projectors’ Bitte Orca. Last month, Moncrief released his solo full-length debut, Watered Lawn, a record that mixes the sounds he’s known for creating with other artists, including electronic, folk, and psychedelia. A track from Watered Lawn, “In This Grass,” was recently given the remix treatment by Deerhoof, and features L.A. rapper Busdriver. As you might guess from that lineup of artists, "In This Grass" is a dense, head-swimming stew of glitchy funk. Check out our exclusive stream below.
