Exclusive video: Hannah Georgas romps around with a gorilla, bounces on trampolines in "Shortie"

Hannah Georgas is a rising Canadian singer-songwriter who seems destined to break out soon. Her self-titled sophomore album came out last fall, and was recently longlisted for the Polaris Prize, just like her 2010 debut This Is Good, putting her in excellent company. Her new video for “Shortie” blends bouncy, danceable instrumentation, Georgas’ floating vocals, and a rousing chorus (“I'm gonna dance, dance, dance / until the cops come”). One minute she’s getting ready to go out, the next she’s a glittering unicorn dancing with someone in a gorilla suit, then she’s bouncing on trampolines in slow motion.
