Last we left Forrest MacNeil (Andy Daly), the “life reviewer” who took on experiences both sublimely pleasurable (eating 30 pancakes) and soul-shattering (drug addiction, divorce) over the first season of Comedy Central’s Review, he was a broken man. At the end of the last episode, Forrest stormed off the set, vowing that he was done with reviewing forever. Now, after an exhaustive search conducted with the help of Review fans on social media, Forrest has returned and is back to his old, blindly optimistic self again.
In this exclusive clip, Forrest takes questions from the media as his producer (James Urbaniak) hovers watchfully nearby, presumably in order to prevent any further escape attempts. As well as introducing some startling changes that will be introduced in the new season, the clip also serves as a convenient refresher of the events that drove Forrest to the brink of mental and emotional collapse last time.
Review returns to Comedy Central July 30 at 10 PM ET/PT.
