Experience minutia in slow-motion with Foreign Tongues’ new video

Boston’s Foreign Tongues has an undeniable, early-’90s alternative influence, but it’s the manner in which the Boston band appropriates that sound for its dream-pop structures that makes it such a young standout. On April 8, Youth Conspiracy Records and Veggie Co. Records will be co-releasing the band’s new EP Sweet Empathy Leaving Me, which was produced by Defeater’s Jay Maas. “Wishing Well”—the single’s A-side—is a plaintive opener that moves slow, but its aching fuzz proves deliberate when the song reaches its climax.

The A.V. Club is premiering the video for “Wishing Well” below, and pre-orders for Sweet Empathy Leaving Me are available from Youth Conspiracy Records.
