Extant (CBS, 10 p.m.): You know what they say: Summer television hasn’t officially started until Halle Berry shows up with her robot son and alien spawn. Don’t fact check that saying. The Extant season two premiere, “Change Scenario,” takes place six months after season one’s finale, and Molly (that’s Halle Berry!) has been “confined to a psychiatric hospital when she learns of bizarre deaths that sound eerily similar to those she witnessed in space.” Fingers crossed for a Gothika reference… Also, Jeffrey Dean Morgan joins the cast this season as a cop/bounty hunter, which sounds mightily confusing. Extant!

Teen Titans Go! (Cartoon Network, 6 p.m.): Teen Titans Go! is back with the standard Cartoon Network week of new episodes, and in “Nean,” “Raven is cursed to be nice.” That’s actually not the part we’re most excited for though, because “Starfire is going to marry a pot of chilli.” It’s like we always say: Keep Teen Titans Go! weird.
Melissa & Joey (ABC Family, 8 p.m.): While this episode of Melissa & Joey is titled “The Parent Trap,” it looks like it actually draws inspiration from the ending of the Melissa Joan Hart classic Drive Me Crazy (a movie your friendly, neighborhood What’s On Tonight contributor has mentioned many more times than anyone else). “Mel’s dad charms the pants off of Joe’s mom,” and we’re sure that means literally.
Big Brother (CBS, 8 p.m.): “The Power of Veto competition is held.” Sounds ominous. Probably isn’t.
MasterChef (Fox, 8 p.m): 100 episodes of MasterChef, 100 episodes of food puns.
Baby Daddy (ABC Family, 8:30 p.m.): Here, you try to read the episode synopsis in any way other than wide-eyed confusion:
“In ‘Wheeler War,’ Ben realizes that he made a huge mistake when he drove Riley away; he never should have believed Danny and Riley have feelings for each other, especially since they’re now dating other people. Ben knows Ross (Eddie Cibrian) is all wrong for Riley, so he devises a plan to get rid of him; he’s going to turn Ross into a Wheeler. Riley is furious when she discovers that her sweet boyfriend has been corrupted and declares a Wheeler War – a very rare sporting event the family made up to decide important matters. If she wins, Ben, Danny and Tucker have to stay away from Ross. If they win, the boys get to keep hanging out with him, who fortunately has no idea that he is the reason for the War. Meanwhile, Bonnie is determined to join the boys’ poker game.”
Rogue (DirecTV, 9 p.m.): Ah, we missed it last week, but Rogue (starring Thandie Newton) is back for its third season. Last week’s season premiere was titled “The White Guy,” so now we’re even more upset that we missed it.
Monster In My Family (Lifetime Movie Network, 9 p.m.): LMN is coming for Investigation Discovery’s brand with Monster In My Family, a new “docu-series” that introduces the families of serial killers to relatives of the killers’ victim. Couldn’t you just replay Perfect High, LMN?
Suits (USA, 9 p.m.): This week on Suits, Harvey’s looking for a replacement for Donna, but as we all know, there is no replacing Donna. Also, Mike does something Jessica doesn’t like, because that’s what he’s really good for, not that whole memory thing.
Celebrity Wife Swap (ABC, 10 p.m): We’re not going to lie: The Wife Swap situation of Margaret Cho and Holly Robinson-Peete actually has us intrigued.
Flipping Out (Bravo, 10 p.m.): The eighth season premiere of Flipping Out takes place at a special time, and oh boy, Jeff’s really flipping out this time. “Jeff intensely focuses on expanding his business after firing employees in the Season 8 opener. He soon discovers that his remaining staffers can’t handle all the delegated work, leading to a titanic meltdown.” We just assumed that was every episode of Flipping Out, which makes it even more impressive that it’s made it to eight seasons.
Mr. Robot (USA, 10 p.m): Mr. Robot has already been renewed for a second season, but we’re not there yet, so let’s see what episode two has in store for us. In “eps1.1_one-and-zer0es.mpeg,” “Elliot (Rami Malek) torn between job offer from evil corp and joining fsociety. @ same time elliot needs to make decision that could harm ppl around him.” No, these gimmick synopses aren’t getting old fast at all.
Nick Cannon Presents: Wild ‘N Out (MTV2, 11 p.m.): Pete Wentz and Fetty Wap on Wild ‘N Out, which is still on the air! Better set the DVR, kids!
Baby Boy (BET, 7 p.m.): This goes out to all the people who weren’t aware of Tyrese Gibson’s popular music career:
House Of Wax (Logo, 7 p.m.): Logo is blessing us all tonight by airing the 2005 remake of House Of Wax, a movie that actually led to the production of one of the greatest pop culture time capsules for early 2000s in Screen Life: House Of Wax. You may remember this as the special where Chad Michael Murrary threw a tantrum over a piece of the set falling on him (after many moments in the special of purposefully avoiding blowing up on camera) and the cult of Paris Hilton was on full display. Viewing the special is actually better time spent than the film itself (as is this podcast episode on the subject matter), but watch House Of Wax if you want to see Chad Michael Murray and Elisha Cuthbert’s weird incest chemistry and Bobby from Cougar Town as a homicidal maniac.
