F. Gary Gray, Sam Worthington to combine serviceable forces on The Last Days Of American Crime
In a dream-team pairing of perfectly workmanlike adequacy, F. Gary Gray (The Negotiator, Law Abiding Citizen, Friday a long time ago) has signed on to direct the cameras toward Sam Worthington in The Last Days Of American Crime, an adaptation of the dystopic comic of the same name. Worthington will star as part a team of master crooks who plan to pull off One Final Score in the days before the U.S. government unveils a mind-control signal that eradicates the criminal impulse. But if there’s no more crime, what do future American filmmakers create middling movies about? Love affairs between two people whose initial dislike for each other is just an indication of how compatible they are? The future blows.
