On Fargo, Allison Tolman faced off against menacing hitmen and an insurance-selling sociopath, all while being saddled with an incompetent police department. Entertainment Weekly announced that Tolman will soon face a new peril in the form of Review’s host/walking disaster Forrest MacNeil (Andy Daly).
Appearing in the second season premiere of Review, Tolman will play Marisa, a nurse who figures into MacNeil’s review of blackmail. The casting is a natural progression for the actress. In Fargo, numerous lethal threats preached a cruel lesson: “Life. It’s literally all you have.” And Review promises to advance that lesson, as MacNeil will likely create situations that force her to ask, “But is it any good?”
Also joining the cast is Barney Miller alum Max Gail as MacNeil’s father, who may offer some glimpse into Forrest’s strange compulsions. Review is scheduled to return in 2015.
