The first teaser for the eighth Fast And The Furious movie is here, but what‘s important is not the footage contained within. After all, we only get brief quick glimpses of what we’ve come to expect from these movies. Cars! Explosions! And, hey, there’s new villain Charlize Theron! Really, what’s of interest here is the title. F8 is now officially called The Fate Of The Furious. Get it? That’s what Tracy Jordan would call wordplay. This reveal also means this installment will be first in the series to not have the word “fast” in the title. Weep for the missing “fast” as it huddles abandoned in the corner of a Universal whiteboard. (Ed note: Yes, we forgot Furious 7. We apologize and still feel for the “fast.”) And, of course, as has been The full trailer is set to debut this Sunday on Facebook. Meanwhile, the movie comes out April 14, 2017.
