Flaming Lips plot all-star album for Record Store Day

The Flaming Lips are no strangers to wacky concepts that occasionally threaten to overshadow their music. But the band's latest big idea might be its most musically intriguing in a while: Over the course of several months, the Flaming Lips invited a disparate cast of guest stars to jam in the studio, including Nick Cave, Chris Martin, Yoko Ono, Ke$ha, Justin Vernon of Bon Iver, Jim James of My Morning Jacket, and Neon Indian. Some of these collaborations have already been released via very limited edition EPs, but now they'll be packaged as a special double-album—billed as The Flaming Lips And Heady Fwends—on high-quality, multi-color vinyl discs to be sold on Record Store Day April 21. Once this pressing is gone, it's supposedly gone for good—except for eBay, of course. Check out the tracklist below.
