Flash back to 1995 with this era-appropriate alt-rock playlist

Any child of the early- to mid-‘90s spent a lot of time listening to the radio, be it pop, rock, or alternative. For listeners of the latter, Spotify user Gary C. Thobaben has put together an excellent 26-song playlist of 1995’s hottest cuts, from U2’s “Hold Me, Thrill Me, Kiss Me, Kill Me” to Live’s “White, Discussion.” And while you might have listened to Weezer’s “Say It Ain’t So” recently, have you listened to it between PJ Harvey’s “Down By The Water” and Collective Soul’s “Gel,” thus giving you the accurate 1995 alt-radio experience?

Thobaben’s list is certainly not comprehensive and won’t speak to every single person’s experience ever, but it’s a satisfying two-hour trip down memory lane either way. It’s also a perfect soundtrack for reading some of The A.V. Club’s 1995 Week articles.
