Wilfred (FX, 10:30 p.m.): A week before its official second-season debut, FX’s absurdist sitcom starring Elijah Wood and an Australian man in a dog costume returns without the benefit of a lead-in from Louie (or Charlie Sheen’s Hey, Remember That Adam Sandler-Jack Nicholson Movie? Or What A Shit I Was All Last Year?). Is this a sign of FX testing out the show’s ability to stand up on its own four feet? Is it the network being cocky about a guest shot from Robin Williams? Either way, Rowan Kaiser will be there to dig through the backyard for meaning.

Burn Notice (USA, 9 p.m.): Michael steps up to take a dangerous assignment involving a drug cartel. And if there’s one Scott Von Doviak’s learned from living in Texas, it’s that drug cartels—though seemingly immune to the efforts of entire government agencies—are often susceptible to attacks from individuals.

Suits (USA, 10 p.m.): Last week, Mike received an important message from Rachel—one which he apparently ignored for three days. Which reminds Carrie Raisler that she may want to look into that “[URGENT] I know who shot JFK [No, really—DO NOT IGNORE]” email she’s been sitting on for the past week or so.

Eagleheart (Cartoon Network, midnight): The team goes after a villainous African dictator, which seems somewhat outside the jurisdiction of the U.S. Marshals Service. Then again, all we know about the Marshals was learned from Justified and the film U.S. Marshals, so maybe Kevin McFarland can clear this up for us.

Star Trek: Deep Space Nine (11 a.m.): Realizing the Wormhole is just sitting there, DS9 takes a customary trip into the Trek franchise’s Mirror Universe, where Bajorans get along with Cardassians and Sisko is a sycophantic turncoat. In that reality, Star Trek reviews write Zack Handlen!

The Thick Of It (1 p.m.): We don’t know exactly what a “blue skies” advisor does, but one’s causing trouble in this week’s installment of The Thick Of It. Come to think of it, we don’t have the best idea about what most of the characters on this show do—but that’s why we keep David “Product of the British educational system” Sims around.

Summertime Roundtable (3 p.m.): Kids: Can’t live with ’em, can’t simply steer them toward the right decision by yelling. After three episodes about adolescence from the adolescents’ perspective, our reviewers took in The Mary Tyler Moore Show’s “Mary’s Delinquent,” where the teenaged characters echo their function on the show by playing guest stars in the life of the WJM crew.

Justin Bieber: All Around The World (NBC, 8 p.m.): Bieber Fever reaches pandemic levels, its spread accelerated by this hour-long special. All Around The World tracks patient zero’s global travels as he lures listeners in with the eerie sonar funk of “Boyfriend”’s verses—before totally spoiling it with that cheeseball chorus.

America’s Worst Tattoos (TLC, 10 p.m.): Unless this guy is included, the producers of this TLC series haven’t done their jobs correctly.

Snooki & JWoww (MTV, 10 p.m.): Sensing that TV viewers have had their fill of the Jersey Shore cast, the show’s second spinoff—following Pauly D’s own solo outing—pares the Seaside Eight down to its most profitable components: The one everyone wants to ogle (Jennifer “Jwoww” Farley) and the one everyone wants to make fun of (Nicole “Snooki” Polizzi).

My Reincarnation (PBS, 10 p.m.): Having a parent lay out your life’s past is bad enough; imagine that path being laid out not only by not only your dad, but generations of Buddhist beliefs. So it goes for Khyentse Yeshi Namkhai, the star of this POV doc, a Tibetan exile who chafes at living a monastic lifestyle—despite being the purported reincarnation of his uncle, a renowned spiritual leader.

Liar, Liar (HBO, 7:15 p.m.): This transitional Jim Carrey comedy has all the screaming and flailing of one of the comic actor’s earlier works, but there’s a big heart beating underneath it—and besides, without this movie, 30 Rock’s “Leap Day” episode wouldn’t have its hilarious Leap Dave Williams interstitials.

Ride The Wild Surf (TCM, 8 p.m.): This one has two major advantages over other beach party flicks of the era: Actual, thrilling footage of surfers in the curl and the titular theme song, performed by Jan And Dean and written in part by Brian Wilson. If you miss the first few minutes, just look up the lyrics of the theme for the necessary exposition.

NBA Finals: Game 5: Thunder at Heat (ABC, 9 p.m.): The tide turned on this one pretty quickly, didn’t it? The Heat look to grab their second title in franchise history with a win tonight, and a nation that loves an underdog starts throwing its hopes behind a Washington Nationals World Series run.

Inside Men: We’re marking this one as our sleeper favorite of the summer, based on Meredith Blake’s kind words—and not just her description of the protagonist as a “Walter White-type”
