One of the strangest dramas in late-night television—and that's saying something—has ended in a guilty plea, NPR is reporting. Robert Joe Halderman has pled guilty to attempting to blackmail David Letterman after learning of Letterman's workplace affairs, including one with Halderman's girlfriend. Halderman will serve six months in jail and perform 1000 hours of community service. Neither will earn him the $2 million he was trying to exact from Letterman.
