Former MTV VJ Jesse Camp is missing

Jesse Camp, the late-’90s MTV host and winner of the first Wanna Be A VJ competition on the channel, is missing. People reports that Camp, 38, was first reported missing by his sister Marisha on July 19. Riverside, California police officer Ryan Railsback confirmed that his department was looking into the disappearance, and that while they currently don’t “see anything suspicious,” he did say Camp’s sister had called in part because her sibling “might have been depressed lately.”

Marisha Camp also reached out on social media to encourage anyone who may have information on Camp’s whereabouts to make contact with her. Jesse Camp had been in regular contact with his mother, but hasn’t spoke with her since July 11 or 12. Additionally, Page Six reports that an ex-girlfriend of Camp’s attempted to reach him after hearing of the disappearance, but informed cops that a stranger answered, telling her that Camp had given him the phone along with several bags of his possessions.
