Four years of construction on the 9/11 Memorial in 74 seconds

You probably haven't heard about it, but the 10th anniversary of 9/11 arrives next month. (To shield ourselves from the accompanying media deluge, The A.V. Club is unplugging from the Internet that day to host a music festival.) If you haven't seen lower Manhattan lately, it's a little jarring (in a good way) to see the area once referred to as Ground Zero growing into something else. To wit, the 9/11 Memorial, which will be dedicated Sept. 11 and open to the public Sept. 12. The awesomely monikered Kasia Cieplak-Mayr Von Baldegg, video editor of The Atlantic, just posted a one-minute time-lapse video that follows construction of the memorial over the course of seven years.
