In case you didn't already know, troupes around the country have been regularly hosting Buffy The Vampire Slayer sing-alongs–comparable to live Rocky Horror performances–in conjunction with screenings of "Buffy: The Musical" (known to mere mortals as the Season Six episode "Once More, With Feeling"). After years of such events, however, Fox Television and its distributor Criterion have abruptly and without explanation pulled the plug on theatrical exhibitions of all Fox TV series, including Buffy. Several upcoming (and legitimately licensed) "Buffy: The Musical" screenings had to be canceled. One of the troupes, The Uncool Kids, has more to say about it here. Fox, of course, has been less than loved by Joss Whedon fans since the network grounded Firefly in 2002.
