Fox confirms it's bringing back 24, restoring balance for fans of Kiefer Sutherland shouting at people

Fox taketh away Kiefer Sutherland yelling, Fox giveth Kiefer Sutherland yelling slightly more urgently: Not long after announcing that it was ending Touch after a low-rated second season, the network offered consolation to both Sutherland and fans of seeing Sutherland get upset by confirming a new, limited-run return of 24. The 12-episode series, which boasts the very meta title 24: Live Another Day, will bring back Jack Bauer to stop yet another terrorist threat over the course of 24 hours—this time skipping all the “in-between hours” where Jack Bauer pauses to just sort of dick around on the Internet. Homeland’s Howard Gordon will also return to oversee the project that should finally put an end to talk of a 24 movie, and which could be tentatively placed on the Fox schedule later today.
