Fox renews MasterChef
Fox has once again renewed its cooking competition show MasterChef, in which amateur cooks endure high-pressure challenges, anxiety-inducing exhaustion, and Gordon Ramsay’s disdain in order to hold onto their aprons, apparently unaware that they could just go and buy as many of them as they want from the kitchen supply store down the street. The new season will be the seventh for the U.S. incarnation of the show, which exists in more than 40 countries around the world, a beacon of hope for anyone who’s ever cracked an egg and thought, “I should be on TV” in their language of choice.
The new season of the show won’t see any huge shake-ups for fans, with judges Ramsay, Graham Elliot, and relative newcomer Christina Tosi—who replaced judge Joe Bastianich at the start of this year’s competition—all signed on to return when the seventh season debuts in the summer of 2016. Casting for the new season of the show, which remains one of Fox’s top performers, begins next month.
