Fox’s Minority Report series gets poster, pretty obvious tagline

Fox has released a promotional poster for its new TV series based on Steven Spielberg’s 2002 sci-fi thriller Minority Report, complete with an easy-to-read tagline for anybody who’s a little unclear on the premise. “They see the future. She stops the crime,” the poster dutifully informs viewers, while the gigantic heads of the show’s cast dourly look on.

The “she” in question is presumably Detective Lara Vega (Meagan Good, biggest head), who uses the precognitive powers of her psychic partner, former goo-bather Dash (Stark Sands, pensive head), to prevent unfortunate events. This, even though the series takes place right after they had a whole movie about how psychic crime-stopping might be kind of a bad idea.

Dash and Vega’s efforts are opposed and obstructed by Dash’s twin brother, Arthur (Nick Zano, glowering head), who wants to use his powers for personal gain. (You can tell Dash and Arthur are a good twin/evil twin pair, because they have matching, color-coded facial hair.) Meanwhile, Wilmer Valderrama, who plays Vega’s fellow cop Will Blake, holds his arms in the international symbol for “I am running now,” while a pair of Army men use wires to soar across the Washington D.C. sky. It’s a lot of heady imagery take in, but hopefully it’ll all make more sense when Minority Report debuts on Fox on Sept. 21.
