Rhys Darby from Flight Of The Conchords has joined the cast of the X-Files revival, news Darby confirmed himself on Twitter. As the co-host of a podcast about cryptozoology, Darby’s certainly no stranger to the weird and unexplainable.
Darby joins Joel McHale as a supporting cast member in the revival, which started shooting earlier this summer in Vancouver. While McHale’s character has been described as a conservative news anchor who becomes an unlikely ally to Fox Mulder, details about Darby’s role remain unknown. But he did note that he’s “over the moon” about the news. Could that be a hint? Is the truth out there…on the moon?!
