Frank Ocean releases new single, announces network TV debut

Frank Ocean, who’s been in the news this week for opening up about his sexuality, has released a new single off forthcoming record Channel Orange. “Sweet Life” tells the story of a person living in Ladera Heights, “the black Beverly Hills,” who has both a housekeeper and a landscaper, and who refuses to see the world because they “got the beach.” “Pyramids,” the first single from the record, was released earlier this summer.

Ocean will make his network television debut Monday, July 9 on Late Night With Jimmy Fallon, where he’ll be backed by the Roots. (Fitting, considering that's the same place Odd Future made its television debut.)

Channel Orange is out July 17 on Def Jam.
