Frank Ocean recently backed out of a contract with Chipotle, so the fast-food chain sued him for the $212,500 that he was paid as an advance. And now Ocean has responded by posting a picture of the check to his Tumblr. Note the memo.
Fortunately, “comment has no effect on bank’s payment.”
The contract between Ocean and Chipotle was for a commercial, where Ocean was set to sing “Pure Imagination.” Ocean backed out after learning about how Chipotle’s logo would be featured in the advertisement. Fiona Apple sang it instead.
Rolling Stone reports that Chipotle hasn’t actually received the check yet.
