“American Express Unstaged” features concert videos directed by well-known artists, and on Aug. 9, Fred Armisen will direct Kings Of Leon in the series’13th installment. Armisen was featured in the previous Unstaged, where he opened for Vampire Weekend (whose concert was directed by Steve Buscemi) as his SNL punk persona Ian Rubbish. Other Unstaged episodes have featured David Lynch directing Duran Duran and Werner Herzog directing The Killers.
The show will take place at London's Shepherd’s Bush Empire on Aug. 9, and will stream live via YouTube and Vevo. Kings Of Leon also has a new album, Mechanical Bull, due out Sept. 24.
