"Fred" Mercury takes the stage in the full-length trailer for Bohemian Rhapsody

The teaser trailer for Bryan Singer and Rami Malek’s famously troubled Queen biopic Bohemian Rhapsody was all foot stomping and roaring crowds, but the full-length trailer for the film—released this morning by Fox Searchlight—gives Malek the chance to prove that not only can he look a whole hell of a lot like Freddie Mercury in photos, he can act like him, too. The trailer also gives the film’s producers an opportunity to respond to skeptics worried that the film would gloss over Mercury’s bisexuality and death from AIDS, working in a shot of Malek cozying up to a male lover and asking his manager, “what if I don’t have time?,” alongside the expected scenes of skeptical band members being persuaded to record the operatic title song and sleazy record-company executives reaping its benefits.

Bohemian Rhapsody rides its bicycle into theaters on November 2.
