Freeform renews The Bold Type
According to Deadline, Freeform has renewed its millennial media dramedy The Bold Type for a fourth season, giving us another year of star sKatie Stevens, Aisha Dee, and Meghann Fahy navigating the high-stakes worlds of fashion and social issues and all of the other exciting things that these characters do for a living. The show has consistently been a big hit for the network, with Freeform ordering two additional seasons just a few months after the first season premiered. When that announcement was made, it came with the news that executive producer Amanda Lasher would be replacing series creator Sarah Watson as showrunner, and this time around there’s a similar twist. For season four, Lasher will be replaced by Wendy Straker Hauser (who, Deadline notes, has been working on the show since the beginning) as the new showrunner.
The show’s third season just kicked off in April, so there’s plenty more Bold Type to look forward to.
