Full Crimson Peak trailer wants you to know that ghosts are real

The teaser trailer for Crimson Peak—Guillermo del Toro’s haunted house movie—left some people a little cold when it was released back in February. Oh, sure, it had weird imagery, quick glimpses of ghostly creatures, and a few milliseconds of a Tom Hiddleston sex scene, but it just didn’t seem flashy enough for a horror movie from the guy behind Pan’s Labyrinth and Pacific Rim.

Luckily, this full trailer for Crimson Peak doesn’t really have that problem. It’s essentially an extended version of that teaser, with a lot of the same scenes presented in a different order, but it also gives us a lot more of everything that we wanted to see last time. It has more weird imagery (how about that shot of the house surrounded by bloody snow?), longer glimpses of ghostly creatures (that thing crawling across the floor looked cool), and a slightly longer shot of the sex scene. It’s probably not long enough for some people—ahem—but they’ve gotta sell tickets somehow.

In addition to Hiddleston, Crimson Peak stars Jessica Chastain, Mia Wasikowska, and Charlie Hunnam. It’ll be in theaters this October.
