Fuller House, 7th Heaven stars ride the ’90s nostalgia wave with new reality show

Riding the wave of ’90s nostalgia that has given their careers new life, Jodie Sweetin (Full House, Fuller House), Beverly Mitchell (7th Heaven), and Christine Lakin (Step by Step) have signed up to play themselves for a new reality show. Called Hollywood Darlings, the show is an “unscripted docu-comedy series” that will air on Pop TV and follow the three women as they live their lives as moms, wives and businesswomen. Other celebrities will make continuing appearances during the show as well.

“Our childhood characters prepared us for the roles of our lives…literally. There really aren’t words to describe the way we grew up and the bond we share, so we decided that we wanted to give a glimpse into our unique sisterhood,” Sweetin, Lakin, and Mitchell, in a recent statement.

Pop TV, operated by Lions Gate Entertainment and CBS, also features Schitt’s Creek, a comedy starring Eugene Levy, his son Dan Levy, and Catherine O’Hara. Other shows include Unusually Thicke, a reality show featuring Alan Thicke and family, and Rock This Boat: New Kids on the Block, featuring the boy band on a four-day cruise to Bermuda. Hollywood Darlings is slated to arrive sometime in 2017.
