Furious 7 is now the third highest-grossing movie of all time
Not even Hulk can smash Dom Toretto and his dream team: Months after it hit theaters, Furious 7 is still raking in the global earnings, having grossed $1.52 billion since April. It’s now in third place for the worldwide all-time gross record list, leaving Age Of Ultron and all other Marvel Studios releases in its dust. Only Avatar ($2.78 billion) and Titanic ($2.18 billion) stand ahead in the rankings.
Furious 7 made $1 billion faster than any movie in history, crossing that billion mark as effortlessly as Hobbs breaking out of his own cast by flexing. With plenty of time left in its theatrical run, Jurassic World has a shot at defeating Furious 7’s title (and in a literal battle of dinosaurs versus cars, we’d put our money on the dinosaurs). But then Furious 8 will just cruise in to steal the title back.
