Further proof that God hates us: The Jeff Dunham Show's debut draws highest rating for a premiere in Comedy Central history

In what can only be seen as conclusive evidence of the existence of a malevolent and destructive deity, Variety is reporting that The Jeff Dunham Show's debut received the highest ratings of any premiere in Comedy Central history. As the lead to the Variety piece hilariously quips, "The programming execs at Comedy Central are no dummies."  Ha! With wit and wisecracks like that it's a wonder Variety's Stuart Levine isn't the one with a highly rated puppet-based variety show on Comedy Central that serves as a dispiriting, constant remind of the reverse-meritocracy!
