Future Of The Left created a bizarre podcast preview of its new album and here it is

June 12 sees the release of The Plot Against Common Sense, the newest full-length from the sardonic, gloriously strident Welsh band Future Of The Left, and the group is—naturally—promoting it in some of the most sardonic, gloriously strident ways possible. There is, for instance, frontman Andy Falkous' caustic, point-by-point takedown of a middling review from Pitchfork's Ian Cohen (sample line: "If ['Robocop 4 — Fuck Off Robocop'] is truly amongst the worst songs of the year then I am a giant bat and Pitchfork a cave into which I will shit golden effigies of your face"). And then there's also the below "trailer" podcast, which is basically Falkous and guitarist Jimmy Watkins putting on their own personal radio show while occasionally pausing to play clips from the album.

If you're a fan of the band or even just Welsh people fucking around, it's well worth a listen. You'll get some rather amusingly detailed previews of upcoming tour dates, exclusive "new songs" from Super Furry Animals' Gruff Rhys, The Smashing Pumpkins, and Danzig, and other generally daft, occasionally surreal tomfoolery. And if you make it to the end, you'll be rewarded with the non-album track "Home Taping Is Killing Susan." Enjoy.
