The Comedians is one and done: The Billy Crystal and Josh Gad-starring FX comedy show won’t see a second season. Executive producer Ben Wexler shared the news and his pride in the show via Twitter just now:
The series was an adaptation of a Swedish show and starred Crystal and Gad as odd-couple comedians who reluctantly work together to boost each other’s careers. We advised patience with the show, but it seems FX just wasn’t willing to wait. As of this writing, there’s no official word from the cable network.
