FX has just confirmed a fourth season of The League, ordering another 13 episodes of the comedy that is ostensibly about fantasy football but is really about life—specifically a life led by friends who behave horribly to each other, occasionally in the name of fantasy football. The show enjoyed series-high ratings this year, no doubt thanks to an impressive procession of guest stars and the sight of Jeff Goldblum boning Sarah Silverman on Thanksgiving. You’ll be able to see even more in the fall of 2012. More of the show—not necessarily more of Jeff Goldblum and Sarah Silverman boning. For that you’ll have to get the DVDs, or use the powers of your imagination.
