FX picks up a fifth season of Sons Of Anarchy

In news that suggests that the Twitter-hills will soon be alive with the sound of Kurt Sutter tweeting about his dick, FX has picked up Sons Of Anarchy for a fifth season, citing its continued standing as the network’s highest-rated series ever. Though continually shut out at the Emmys and beset by, in Sutter’s words, “fatcuntbloggers” who were all raped as children, and thus have jobs where they criticize episodes of his show, from a ratings standpoint Sons had its best season yet, with viewership up 30 percent among real people who actually have sex and shouldn’t just fucking kill themselves right now, seriously. Production on the next 13 episodes presumably will begin early next year—though obviously, no one at The A.V. Club will be alive to see them.
