G.I. Joe: It's really happening
We've been ignoring news of the upcoming G.I. Joe movie in hopes that it would just go away, but it doesn't appear to be working: Every day just brings more and more updates on the action figure-based film's progress. God, it's like Hollywood producers aren't even reading Newswire! Anyway, the project has started to round out its cast as of late, with the earlier announcement of principals Sienna Miller (as the Baroness) and Ray Park (as Snake-Eyes) being followed by today's news that Rachel Nichols, Adewale Akinnuoye-Agbaje (a.k.a. Lost's "Mr. Eko"), and Said Taghmaoui have all signed up as, respectively, Scarlett, Heavy Duty, and Breaker. Oh, also "G.I. Joe" now apparently stands for "Global Integrated Joint Operating Entity" and operates out of Brussels. (So much for "Real American Hero.")
And now you know!
