Bitter, hate-filled prop comic Gallagher was hospitalized in Minnesota last night after collapsing on stage during a performance at Whiskey Bone’s Roadhouse in Rochester. Gallagher, who the Associated Press dispiritingly notes “is best known for smashing watermelons with a sledgehammer,” was in the middle of doing just that when he suddenly doubled over and fell backwards. The 64-year-old comedian was rushed to the hospital and fortunately he is now reported to be awake and feeling better, and is already cracking jokes about gay people and Muslims.
