Game Of Thrones cast try their hand at Australian slang, scoff at Pizza Shapes

It’s best to get weird when interviewing the Game Of Thrones cast. It’s not like they’d be able to reveal anything about the upcoming season, after all, and they’ve already used up their quotes about how exhausting it was to film the final season. Why not, then, go the route of Australian YouTuber Ozzy Man, who challenged the Westerosi to a formless, amusing game built around their knowledge of Australian slang.

Some are both game for the proceedings and quite knowledgeable, with Isaac Hempstead Wright (Bran) emerging as the clear forerunner. Nikolaj Coster-Waldau (Jaime), again drawing upon his Excitable Dad energy, is also here for it, though his counterpart, Gwendoline Christie (Brienne), is a bit more skeptical. “Is it gluten-free?” she dryly asks of the Pizza Shapes Ozzy offers as a prize. (Wright, meanwhile, is elated: “They’re like mini pizzas!”)

Joining them is the weird duo of Jacob Anderson (Grey Worm) and Joe Dempsie (Gendry), as well as Jerome Flynn, who makes us want to add “mate” to the end of more sentences. And then there’s Kristofer Hivju (Tormund), who, when asked if he can use “crikey” in a sentence, offers a flat, definitive “yes” and nothing more.

Watch the video above, then impress your friends by working “budgie smugglers” into casual conversation.

Game Of Thrones returns on Sunday, April 14. Ensure you’re caught up with our Month Of Thrones coverage.
