Game Of Thrones' Emilia Clarke to strip for James Franco, fall in love with Futurama's Zoidberg

Never one to pass up on a project full of weighty portentousness and heavy homoeroticism, Game Of Thrones’ Emilia Clarke has signed on to star in James Franco’s The Garden Of Last Days, Franco’s next literary adaptation after filming works by William Faulkner and Cormac McCarthy. The big-screen version of Andre Dubus III’s novel will find Clarke—who’s also never one to shy away from nudity—playing a stripper who’s forced to bring her 3-year-old daughter to work with her, and who comes into contact with some other “deeply flawed people” that include a man on the verge of committing an act of terrorism. (The book is set around 9/11, though the film will reportedly take place in present day, when there are sadly still plenty acts of terrorism to talk about.) Franco, always one to have his dildo cake and eat it too, will also co-star.

In other Emilia Clarke casting news, she’s also been added to the final season of Futurama, appearing in the series’ second-to-last episode. There she’ll draw on her on- and off-screen experience of falling for men others might find odious by playing Dr. Zoidberg’s unlikely love interest—“a flower stand owner who, ironically enough, was born with no sense of smell,” which helps when your boyfriend is “the smelliest character on Earth in the future.” We leave it to you to debate whether it’s more degrading to be paired up with a putrid lobster-man, or strip in the name of James Franco’s art.
