Game Of Thrones fans in Spain get a sneak peek at season 7

There was a protracted wait between Game Of Thrones seasons this year, with a shy winter, among other things, slowing down production. But now we only have one month left before the first of seven episodes that will feature at least part of the great war that’s been a-brewing. The first trailer we got Stateside went a long way towards appeasing those eager for a proper look at the forthcoming battles, but Game Of Thrones fans in Spain got their own sneak peek yesterday, thanks to HBO España. An interactive pop-up installation for the show invited attendees into a darkened room, where they were greeted by both Arya Stark (Maisie Williams) and—sob—Hodor (Kristian Nairn).

The onscreen Arya swears fans to secrecy then plays a video that appears to kick off with Jim Broadbent’s maester character before showing off swooping dragons and the armed Unsullied. And it looks like Podrick’s (Daniel Portman) training with Brienne (Gwendoline Christie) continues apace. But it’s Jon Snow (Kit Harington) who gives a stirring speech about forgetting the old conflicts and uniting the North, which sounds like a good plan, all things considered.

The Emmy-winning fantasy drama has been shooting in the small Spanish town, Zumaia, for season seven, which premieres July 16.
