Garret Dillahunt will star opposite Ron Perlman in a new show for Amazon
Raising Hope’s cancellation may turn out to be a good thing for Garret Dillahunt. The actor has signed on to star opposite Ron Perlman in Amazon’s Hand Of God. So far, the drama has only been ordered to pilot, but with both Dillahunt and Perlman attached, odds seem at least decent that the show will be picked up to series.
Hand Of God stars Perlman as Judge Harris Pernell, who Deadline describes as a “hard-living, law-bending married man with a high-end call girl on the side who has a religious awakening and starts having visions and hearing voices through his ventilator-bound son that could be God speaking to him.” Dillahunt will play KD, a young sociopath who thinks he’s found God in an attempt to cure his temper, but who still has a tendency to act impulsively. As Deadwood viewers can attest, Dillahunt gives good psychopath, making this role (and this show) that much more appealing to potential viewers.
